There are two types of registration process - Builders' Registration and Developers' Registration.  Fees for both of these are different:

Developers' fees: 
  • £500 one-off application fee
  • £350  annual renewal fee
Builders' Fees:
  • £500 one-off application fee
  • £350  annual renewal fee

You must maintain your registration for the duration of your build project and the Defects Insurance Period (if applicable to this policy).

Your Premium Rating:

As part of the application process, you will be given a Premium Rating.  This is determined by your past experience, claims history and other factors.

Your Premium Rating is used to calculate your warranty premiums. As long as you remain registered with us, your rating should improve, resulting in lower premiums.

Application Process

If you are not already registered with us, simply complete our application form. Once received, we will process your application and issue you with an invoice for your fee payment.

Your year one Registration fee will be £500 for Developers or £350 for Builders.

All new applicants will be subject to our assessment process, which will include desktop and face-to-face reviews of your experience, controls on site, qualifications and company structure, which will be used to assess your eligibility for our schemes and, if applicable, set your rating. This will be used to calculate your future premiums.

Once this is completed, along with the acceptance of our Rules of Registration, and any relevant indemnity documents signed, you will receive your Registration Certificate which is valid for 12 months.

Registration Renewals

Three months prior to the expiry of your registration, you will receive a renewal notice from us detailing your fee for the next 12 months and including a Statement of Fact allowing you to confirm we hold the correct details on you and your company.

Once we have received your signed, completed Statement of Fact, Indemnities, Acceptance of Rules of Registration and fee payment, we will issue your Registration certificate which is valid for 12 months.

Please note, you must maintain your registration with us throughout the defects period of the policy. Failure to do so could result in us being unable to release certification for your developments.
